Moody's assigns MIG 1 to Hudson County Improvement Authority NJ's $35.2M Pooled Notes, Series 2014 T

NEW YORK, April 15, 2014 --Moody's Investors Service has assigned a MIG 1 rating to Hudson County Improvement Authority's (NJ) $35.2 million County-Guaranteed Pooled Notes, Series 2014 T. Concurrently, Moody's maintains an Aa3 rating with stable outlook on $495 million of direct Hudson County LT GO and county rated debt and A1 rating with stable outlook on $17 million Certificates of Participation. The notes are ultimately secured by the county's unlimited general obligation pledge pursuant to a county guaranty agreement, and as such, the MIG 1 rating incorporates the strong security strength of the county. Proceeds of the HCIA 2014 T-1 notes will refund loans to the Township of Weehawken (G.O. rated Baa3; $11.5 million), the Weehawken Special Improvement District ($8.7 million) and the City of Union City (G.O. rated A3; $9.7 million) for various capital improvement projects. Proceeds of the taxable HCIA 2014 T-2 notes will fund loan to the Township of Weehawken (G.O. rated Baa3; $5.3 million) for self insurance...
